Antalya Airport is the biggest employer in the region with direct and indirect employment of 11,500 people. Therefore, we understand and actively pursue our responsibility for Antalya and the entire region. Within this context,Fraport TAV Antalya Airport financially and educationally assisted the Civil Aviation Management School in Antalya University. Moreover, besides donating to various organizations, the Airport also sponsors various cultural, social-welfare and sports events, such as film festivals, music festivals, sports competitions and archeological excavations.
Within the framework of the protocol signed between Fraport TAV Antalya Airport and Mediterranean University, all the interior construction works, lighting, utilities, air-conditioners and similar furnishings were completed in a 3-storey block of classrooms, which had been completed only in terms of rough construction before, in order to meet the classroom needs of the Civil Aviation Management Program students, offering considerable financial support. On the other hand, the entire curriculum was reviewed in order to ensure that the program, which was new, could offer education in a manner to meet the sector’s needs, suggesting new courses and preparing curriculum for such new courses.
Fraport TAV Antalya Airport executives have been the lecturers for the courses ‘Terminal Management 1’, ‘Terminal Management 2’ and ‘Airport Security Practices’ since 2010; and the students have been given the chance to visit the airport to actually see and practice the contents of courses on site. In addition, the students are also offered continued support with respect to their training and seasonal or permanent employment.
