FRAPORT TAV ANTALYA AIRPORT IS OPENING TO THE MIDDLE EAST AND NORTH AFRICA WITH ITS NEW TARGETS!

FRAPORT TAV ANTALYA AIRPORT IS OPENING TO THE MIDDLE EAST AND NORTH AFRICA WITH ITS NEW TARGETS!

Fraport TAV Antalya Airport, which makes a great contribution to Turkish tourism with the number of passengers it welcomes, aims to serve passengers with new destinations in order to reach the travel targets that have been increasing in recent years. In this context, the Middle East and North Africa region, which is briefly described as MENA, is becoming an important source market.

With this market, whose share in our total passenger traffic has increased from 3% to 6% since 2019, our guests traveling to our region contribute to our economy throughout the year with shopping, gastronomy, city and nature tours as well as sea-sand sun tourism.

As Antalya Airport, the project we developed specifically for our Middle East and North Africa source markets aims to bring many new airlines and new routes to our city in 2023. In this context, our joint route development work with airlines will start serving Antalya on a scheduled basis with 10 airlines on 11 routes from 8 countries in the summer season of 2023.

Our airlines, which will operate at Antalya Airport for the first time this year, are among other airlines as Kuwait Airways, Wizzair Abu Dhabi, Flynas and Flyadeal.

Our scheduled direct flights from Antalya in 2023 are as follows;

• Bahrain - SunExpress once a week throughout the year, Turkish Airlines once a week during the summer season,

• Kuwait - Jazeera Airways 4 times a week during the summer season, Kuwait Airways 2 times a week, Turkish Airlines 3 times a week,

• Abu Dhabi- Wizzair Abu Dhabi 3 times a week throughout the year,

• Jeddah - Turkish Airlines 2 times a week during the summer,

• Riyadh - Flynas and Flyadeal 4 times a week, Turkish Airlines 2 times a week during the summer season,

• Dammam - Turkish Airlines 2 times a week during the summer season,

• Tel Aviv - Pegasus Airlines increased from 2 to 3 per day during the summer season, Turkish Airlines from 7 to 10 per week, SunExpress Airlines from 3 to 7 per week throughout the year,

• Amman-Royal Jordanian, increasing from 3 to 5 per week during the summer season, Turkish Airlines 7 per week, Pegasus Airlines 5 per week throughout the year.

• Beirut - Pegasus Airlines from 3 to 7 per week until the end of November, SunExpress Airlines from 2 to 5 per week throughout the year, Turkish Airlines 7 per week during the summer season,

• Dubai- SunExpress Airlines 3 times a week throughout the year.

• Doha-Qatar Airways will operate 5 flights per week during the summer season.

In these markets, which will contribute to the country and winter tourism targets, our one-way seat capacity is planned to reach 800 thousand with an increase of 25% in 2023. In addition to the incentive programs we have implemented especially for Qatar and other Arab countries, our digital marketing activities have been continuing since the beginning of the 2022 winter season.

As Fraport TAV Antalya Airport, we will continue our efforts to better promote our city as a destination in each targeted source market and to contribute to Turkish tourism.
