Recycling Exhibition Meets Art Lovers at Fraport Tav Antalya Airport

Painter Ayşecan Hizmet, who uses various waste materials such as electronic waste, plastic, paper, scrap buttons as raw materials in her artworks and works with mixed painting techniques on canvas, has brought her exhibition titled "Remainings" to art lovers at Fraport TAV Antalya Airport.

Stating that she is very happy that her works will meet with a wide audience at Fraport TAV Antalya Airport, Ayşecan Hizmet completed her art education at Akdeniz University Faculty of Fine Arts. Since 2009, Hizmet has been working on upcycling in art and in this process, she writes and conducts EU-supported national and international recycling projects, designs and teaches workshops, and plays a pioneering role in this field with workshops and exhibitions. The artist continues to work at Arty Academy Art Workshop, of which she is the founder.

Drawing attention to the fact that electronic wastes threaten human health, natural life and the environment all over the world and in our country with the rapid development of technology, Artist Ayşecan Hizmet places the internal materials of electronic devices on her canvases with a unique application. The artist, who deals with the theme of city and technology in her works, is known as an "Environmentalist Painter" because she brings together the increasingly concreting cities, disappearing greens and the extraordinary speed of technology. Hizmet, who transforms waste into art with a fascinating harmony and fiction unique to herself, draws the viewers into the mysterious depths of this journey.

Ayşecan Hizmet, who describes the accelerating cycle of today’s world with technology in her work titled " Remainings", which gives its name to the exhibition; "As technology develops, do we develop and grow more and more with it, or do both sides consume each other? How will this process transform us over time? " makes us think about it.

The exhibition will be open to visitors throughout July in the exhibition area of Fraport TAV Antalya Airport Domestic Terminal.
